    Description

Antique SEWING ITEM -- MOTHER stuffed bead work PIN CUSHION -- was likely produced in the middle part of the 1900s. This early piece measures approximately 3.5 inches tall and 3.75 inches wide. The pin cushion is made of a stuffed cushion with felt on the top side and a generic fabric on the bottom. It has been decorated by an elaborate pattern of glass beads, including around the outer border, loops attached to the sides and bottom, plus the word MOTHER and other decorations within the central design. Mom had this marked as being a souvenir of a native American tribe, but I'm not sure which one. It is all original, as far as I can see. Please refer to the attached images for more information on size, construction, and condition. Overall condition: Excellent..... The fabric shows slight signs of use and handling, but there are no cuts, tears or other serious flaws. It is overall in great shape and it will display beautifully. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage sewing items. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime collector and she especially loved sewing memorabilia and antique buttons. She is downsizing, so my brother and I am helping her sell some of her collections. (You can find the items my brother is listing at sellmomsstuff1). But I am not completely familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of her collecting specialties. I try to use various notes she left with items to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, may not be terms I am familiar or experience with. So please use the attached images to form your own opinions. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any specific hobby standards. Please contact me if you have specific questions, and I will answer them as best I can. PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER LISTINGS FOR MORE WONDERFUL VINTAGE SEWING ITEMS, ANTIQUE BUTTONS, AND OTHER COLLECTIBLES.
