This antique Victorian, 10 karat yellow gold
photograph locket was made during the mid 1800s. This piece is in the form of a
pocket watch and both panels are covered in classic machine turnings. This is a
fine example of 19th century jewelry. The locket still has an antique photo
inside, a daguerreotype or tintype of a confederate soldier. The other side has the original velvet underneath what looks like the original glass, which is broken. This is a large locket and it has never been monogrammed. To more easily
change out the photographs, you can take a small suction cup to get the glass
panels out.The front, back, edges and frame are 10K gold, tested and guaranteed. I don't know if it's gold filled or plated. This piece is in great overall
condition, especially considering age. Diameter: 1 5/8 inches. The watch fob loop is another 3/4". Shipped USPS.
